What about Teddy?

In a fuchsia forest, down the river of Fuchsia, there lived a fuchsia colored teddy bear in a white cottage with fuchsia trims surrounded by fuchsia gardens. The teddy bear within this cottage is named Teddy, and he has a special story to tell his neighbors every day, but Teddy wasn't always so outgoing!

No, Teddy once was a secluded little bear who didn't have a very happy life so he thought. This little bear once was laughed at by many other animals because he insisted that his fur is the color fuchsia, but not pink! And furthermore, Teddy always had an odd accent...something that sounded between the likes of a Care Bear and a Pooh Bear. But Teddy mostly was an unhappy bear because his family wasn't very loving to him. Teddy grew up with very few friends as well.

But, today Teddy is so much different than that long-lost sad bear of ages ago! Now, Teddy is filled with a joy like no other, and always looking for ways to share his wonderful story of how he became so hopeful and filled with faith!

We truly hope you will stick around to read some of Teddy's stories...

Teddy's Walks with Mister Max

Every morning, before the warm sun rises over the blueberry hills, Teddy wakes up filled with joy and praises. He thanks God for the day that is given, and prays for God to help him accomplish His will. Teddy then begins preparing breakfast and sets aside a portion for the animals of the forest. One of Teddy's close friends, Mister Max, always joins him for a walk in the forest after breakfast. Mister Max is a kind-hearted lion, just as cuddly as Teddy, who has become fond of Teddy's baking. Today Teddy and Mister Max decide to go to raspberry valley for their walk.

Now, on the way to raspberry valley, Teddy and Mister Max feed the animals of the forest with the portions prepared in the morning. The sun is just beginning to peek it's golden face over the blueberry hills north of raspberry valley. Teddy sprinkles bread crumbs for birds, and Mister Max tosses veggies for the bunnies. Before Teddy and Mister Max can even be seen by the birds and bunnies, their voices are heard singing and humming hymns, and all the little animals wait anxiously for their arrival.

After feeding the animals Teddy stops in his favorite quiet spot. Just a few strides away from a big oak by a stream, Teddy sits under the shade of green, and reads a Psalm for all who listen.

Mister Max, in turn, sits beside Teddy and is always ready to tell a Proverb once Teddy has finished reading.

Almost all the little creatures love to listen to Teddy and Mister Max, and they all happily praise God. Even the trees and streams declare His goodness!

Now, there is one little creature that has always laughed at Teddy and Mister Max, and this was the snake. The snake had a little group of friends that also didn't care for listening to God's words, and they often tried to make trouble in the forest. Teddy had always tried to be a good example, however, because the snake would test him and Mister Max by trying to cause them to become angry and say things God wouldn't want them to!

The snake mocked Teddy and said, "Why do you go on singing these happy songs and talking about wisdom of a God you never even saw? You all are fools for believing such things!" and bitterly slithered around the ground staring at the little creatures with an intimidating look.

Most of the little creatures just tried to ignore the snake and its friends, but sometimes the harsh words it said would pierce the fragile hearts of creatures that were just beginning to learn of their wonderful maker. Teddy and Mister Max both corrected the snake by saying to it, "Does the clay say to the Potter, 'Who are you and why are you molding me?' of course not! We are all evidence of God's creation, and it is not wise of you to speak lies."

At that the snake became angry and stormed off with his friends. Teddy and Mister Max in turn began to tell the little creatures more of God's truths from the Bible. The young creatures that had just begun to learn of God found hope in the words and their doubt left them.

Teddy and Mister Max bid the creatures farewell as they headed down to the raspberry valley. From then on, they had no encounter with the snake and its friends. Teddy and Mister Max picked raspberries in the valley, and later brought them back to the cottage to make raspberry cookies. After baking the cookies, Teddy and Mister Max shared it with the neighbors.

Now, the snake, that was an enemy of Teddy and Mister Max, came slithering along and got jealous of the neighbors who got raspberry cookies. The snake said to some neighbors, "Oh look how all of you have cookies but I didn't get any!" and began to say how unkind it was of Teddy and Mister Max. But, before the snake could even finish what he said, there lay before him a little bundle of cookies. The snake was caught in his own words, and didn't know what to do, but just looked around bewildered for he didn't expect anything.

Teddy was smiling contently, and said to the snake, "Here are cookies for you. Share them with your friends too. Taste and see that the Lord is good!" and blessed them and prayed that this would cause them to consider the ways of God.

After that generous gift from Teddy, the snake and his friends ate the cookies, but still would talk among themselves lies. Despite this, Teddy and his friends continued to pray for them, because as they all knew very well...
